Becoming a Bruin means joining a list of exceptional people, especially those from an underrepresented group. UCLA has a legacy of building solidarity around diverse communities by providing a welcoming & safe educational environment for students to excel. To inform high-achieving, recently admitted underrepresented African American students and their parents, local newspapers would feature ads showing UCLA as the best place for academic and emotional growth, that diversity fuels UCLA’s greatness and that accepting an offer of admission shows pride and accomplishment within their community.
Ideas for the most part, are subjective. Some are good. Some are bad. Some resonate with clients. Some don’t. Some get revised. Some look very different once they go into production. Like all projects that have ever been undertaken, there will always be some ideas that will never make it past the drawing board. Below are some of the concepts that didn’t make it, but they can still inspire the imagination.
