To celebrate its commitment to local civic life, the University of California at Los Angeles needed to develop a unique publication for community leaders and elected officials. The result is Blueprint: a magazine that represents UCLA’s research on key issues impacting the city. The debut edition explores public safety and highlights the university’s expertise in matters important to the region. The concept was inspired by thought-provoking editorial illustrations. By going with a clean and modern design style, complex issues become visually engaging. To that end, the masthead logo summarizes that engagement of dialogue.
